Easter fun!

Taylor had a great easter weekend this year. We had those two days packed full of fun easter fun. Saturday we went to the neighborhood egg hunt with her uncle Brad and aunt Jessi. Taylor was hesitant at first with all of the kids and the dreaded Easter Bunny, but warmed up once she figured out that the bunny was not going to take her and the eggs had treats in them. Sunday we went to church and then went to some friends house for lunch and another egg hunt. Here are some picture from the weekend.

This is Taylor with Uncle Brad. She loved sharing her bunny ears with him!!

...Hunting the eggs

...Extatic about the treats that come with egg hunts!

Family picture before we went to church

Taylor with her presents the Easter Bunny gave her. She walked all around the house with her headphones listening to her new music!!

This is the kids picture from Easter lunch. At this point, she was a pro at hunting eggs.

potty training and a snow day!!!

Well, it's been potty training central here at the Whitfield's the past week and a half and we have had some time stuck in the house! Both of us are going a little crazy at this point, but it has been a huge success and I am truly grateful! Taylor has been a champ, not having an accident since the first 24 hours!! Getting out in public is another story...she is constantly telling me she needs to go to the bathroom, which makes it pointless for me to leave the house. I can't complain though, she has been better than I ever imagined! Since we have been home so much, I thought I would post some of the pictures of our exciting times and outfits.
...And then God gave us a gift of snow this weekend!! It was wonderful to play outside Saturday morning, Taylor was out for about 3 hours and did not want to be anywhere else in life. She absolutely loved the snow and just walking around in it. She even had her first sledding adventures and had a blast. The snow could not have come at a better time, we needed a break!!

Vienna

Here are some pictures from our trip to Vienna. We went in early January and had a great time despite the very cold weather. I have a whole new appreciation for COLD weather and people who live in those climates! Thanks Angela and Michael for being great tour guides!!

The first is of Mozart's house in Vienna. That was the view out his window, they said virtually nothing had changed.

These next four are from Prague which was one of our favorite stops on the trip. It was beautiful and such a neat city to explore.

These last two are from Daivid and Angela's adventure skiing in the Alps. The place they went was about an hour and a half outside of Salzburg. They had a great time despite Angela's bruised thumbs from her falls!

Christmas

I know Christmas is a distant memory for most, but I thought it was about time that I post some pictures from it. We had a great time spending time with family and friends during the season.

This is Taylor and David on Christmas eve. We read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" every year, and this was

This is what Santa brought Taylor. She calls it her, "Pump it Up." She still thinks it is about the greatest thing ever.

Bubby and Patti gave Taylor this art activity desk and she loves drawing and playing with stickers at it.

This kitchen is what Imah and Johndaddy gave Taylor and she has loved it since the moment she saw it. She cooks some fabulous meals from there! Taylor and her Aunt Jessi spent plenty of time playing with it all in Christmas day. Overall, it was a great holiday even though I have forgotten most of it...sorry!

A Weekend at the Farm

This past weekend, we went up to the farm with some of our small group. We had the best time enjoying eachother as well as watching all of the kids have the best time. They were happy to play inside or outside together, it didn't matter.

Ella Grace and Ella George were so funny playing together all weekend. They had the best time being around eachother...they even had a slumber party with Kelsey Friday night!

I just think this picture is funny because it is Taylor's new favorite pose for a picture. If you ask her to smile, this is what we get.

Here is a picture of all the kids there, minus McClain...he was headed to bed at that point. McClain could keep up with these kids for the first time because he is now walking! Taylor has been imitating him since we returned. She says, "walk like Matain" and then walks for a second and then falls down. She thinks it is so funny.

This last picture was from Sunday morning. David was cleaning all of the outside toys up and Taylor wanted to help him. She helped hold the hose and when he would bend down , she would do the same. It was really cute to watch Davids shadow. Overall, it was a great weekend and we enjoyed everyone being up there with us!

Ok, so I am little behind on blogging. We had some computer technical difficulties that David had to sort out, but we are finally up and running. Here is a wrap up of all our halloween activities. Sunday night we went to trunk or treat at our church and Taylor most enjoyed eating cookies and candy. That evening is when she discovered the joys that come with halloween. Later that week, we went to the Sciortinos for the annual pumpkin carving evening. Taylor did not care one bit about carving pumpkins or touching the icky insides. Then Halloween night we had a relaxing evening just hanging out with the 3 of us and going trick or treating a little bit. Taylor loved saying "trick or treat" and then getting candy. In fact, she continues to say that phrase in hopes candy will come out of my pocket toward her. She loved her ladybug costume and wore it most of the 4 days prior to the actual day. Hope each of you enjoyed your halloween, even though it feels like it was three months ago!

It's Finally Fall!

We have been anxiously awaiting fall this year because of the hot summer we had. I feel like it is finally arriving and I could not be more thrilled with it! The past week we have been doing "fall" things. Last weekend, we went to Gentry Farm with our life group. As this picture shows, the day did not start out well for Taylor, but it got better the longer we were there. Her favorite parts were the hayride and "cooking" in the barn. I also posted a picture of all her friends that were there. Overall, it was a great way to get into the fall spirit (even though it was 90 degrees!!).

Then, this week, Taylor and her friend Campbell went to get pumpkins for their houses. they were thrilled with picking out the perfect pumpkin, but not when the camera was around. This is the best picture I could get...Campbell interested in Taylors new favorite accessory...her halloween necklace. Hope you are enjoying your fall season like we have been!
