Cupcake day

Taylor is always up for a good sugary snack, so when I suggested cupcakes, she thought that was a good idea. There is a new cupcake store in downtown Franklin, so we checked it out. The cupcakes were beautiful...and didn't taste bad either!

Our choices to eat...

Another thing we have been doing around here...trying not to nap. Taylor figured out after the first week of preschool that not everyone what sleeping, so she decided she doesn't need to either. She may not think it is necessary, but it really is peace is going to stay in our house. She is soooo exhausted by the end of the day that she is terrible!!! This was the morning after preschool when she fell asleep on the couch in her ballerina costume.

And speaking of sleeping....Callie is finally getting there! We did sleep training the past couple of weeks and she now knows how to go to sleep in her bed by herself which is a major feat around here! Now, if she would just not cry out for the passie 100 times a night.

Callie's 3 Month Pictures

We just got Callie's 3 month pictures back for her panel and I thought I would share a couple! She was so sleepy by the time they started, but she put on her smile for them anyway!

Schoolgirl

Taylor started her first week of preschool this past week. She was so excited to start school, she asked every day for about a month. When Tuesday came, she was not disappointed. Her teachers sent a note home that day saying she loved every minute of it. Apparently she missed me terribly!

No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!

Well, Taylor finally got it. She got her first black eye. She was jumping on my bed (with my supervision) which she loves to do. She went to divebomb my pillow and met the headboard instead. Needless to say, there were a few tears shed! However, once she got over the initial shock, she really was okay with it and did not complain about it hurting. We are now almost 3 weeks out from it and there is still a little bruise under her eye. Here are the first few days...

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

After the black eye incident, David thought football was the next step in her career. This is her football pose.

And I thought cooking was a better activity for mommy and taylor to do together. We have flour on our noses, which we always have to do when baking.
