Firsts

These girls have done several firsts these past few months...

Callie had her first ride in the Jeep this weekend. This makes me very nervous, but you can tell from davids face, this makes him very excited. the rule i have is they have to be sitting sitting forward in the carseat before they have their first ride. callie has just reached that milestone, and david did not waste any time getting her in there with him. i know it is a terrible picture, but you can see the fun david is having!

These next ones are Taylor's first gymmastics year. she just finished last week and she has loved every second of it! she met so many new friends and was so brave trying new things. it really did teach her some great balance and coordination. she is sad it is done for the summer, but i am sure she will be doing it again before too long!

and on the bars...

Callie had her first cookie a couple of weeks ago and i was such a proud momma! she has so many food allergies that anything new is a big deal, and this was so much fun! i had a lot of shopping to do in Publix and needed something to get me through. She loved it!!!

After the cookie face. she kept signing "more" for the rest of the grocery trip.

both the girls with their cookies...what a great day!

Taylor had her first month of swim lessons in May. You can see the hesitancy in this picture, but she got better every week and i am so proud of her for her improvements! i am thinking we will not be actually swimming for a long while, but i am happy with these small steps!

Oh, what a sad day this was. I took this picture on Taylor's last day of her first year of Preschool. These are her sweet teachers, Miss Ashley and Miss Michele. She loved both of them so much and still says daily that she misses them. they were so wonderful for her!

Easter Easter Easter!

here are some pictures of our easter weekend. it was jam packed, but we had a good time celebrating with friends!

Easter morning...

Callie thrilled to get an egg at one of the easter egg hunts

Callie the easter bunny!

Callie thought the easter bunny was so funny...she just kept staring at her and smiling. taylor decided she was afraid of them again, so she  did not get within 20 feet from her.

pretty typical picture around here...callie walking around grabbing her ears, and taylor doing something funny

sweet girls in their pretty easter outfits!

Eggs and Sunshines

Just wanted to update on a couple of fun Taylor days lately...

"Imah" came over this week to help us decorate easter eggs. the eggs did end up decorated, but our faces did too...

the finished products!

one little girl having so much fun!

"Imah" and Taylor working on their eggs

just a random bunny picture. Taylor has never stepped within 50 feet of the easter bunny until this year. she saw the bunny at the rec. center  egg hunt and told me she was not scared this year and that she was going to go give him a hug. i pretty much took this picture in amazement.

MY LITTLE SUNSHINE!!!
Last week was Taylor's spring program at preschool. she LOVES preschool and everything that goes with it. she sings school songs all the time, so it was no surprise she was one of the more animated kids on the stage...she is not afraid of an audience!
Taylor waving at us as she would see us. she would get so excited!

Still singing every word and doing all the motions! She is sitting next to Aiden and Ty.

GO VOLS GO!!!

We took Taylor to her first Vol experience last weekend. It was so much fun for David and I to see her taking it all in and loving all the orange! She has learned Rocky Top, and sang it whenever the band began to play...a beautiful sound to hear! Here are some pictures from the day...

The 3 of us after the game

One of our first signs that Taytay was not feeling well. She does not really like sleeping in her own bed, much less a really loud basketball game!

Cheering on the Vols

Taylor was so mesmerized by the cheerleaders...especially when she got to shake her pom pons!

Here are a few pictures of Callie's 9 month pictures. This was the day before she got sick, so we got them just in time!
i love her feet in this one!

anyone who knows Callie well knows she loves those bunny ears! Wendy said she wanted to get some with her "lovie" because i would look back and love them, and I do!! They are some of my favorite pictures because it is just so Callie!!

and pretty much those were the last two things we did before the flu this this house hard. We have not left the house since returning from Knoxville Sunday except to go to the doctor once. No pictures from the sick week around here, i don't want to remember this!

Miss Callie Clark

Ok, so i wanted to try to blog about sweet callie and brag about all her new skills. she has had a tough go at things over the past few months, but she is pushing through it and not letting it slow her down. She has started crawling everywhere and loves standing up. that is her favorite trick that she does, well, most of the day that she is awake. she will crawl over to and object so she can stand up with it and then lets go totally and plays or claps. it is so funny to watch this little thing standing on her own for extended amounts of time. the one problem that is coming from this is multiple bruises and cuts from her new explorations! she has a new cut or bruise most every day. she is feeling better from all of her belly and eating issues, and we are very thankful for that. she can't tolerate any foods still except the prescription formula and sweet potatoes, but we are trying to work on that. sometimes i sit down with her and eat a sweet potato while she is having hers, just so i feel like we are sharing a meal together. maybe one day i will get to share a cinnamon roll with her...thats what i want! she has been a trooper through all of her issues, and i am so proud of her making all these strides. way to go callie, we love you! here are a couple of pictures of her outside enjoying this great weather...this was her first time exploring in the grass.

I know, it's been forever...

my blogging has taken a turn for the worse, so I am trying to catch up for the past several months in one short post. Callie is 6 months old and is becoming quite the personality these days. she is the most smiling kid i have ever seen. well, smiling at people like daddy, mommy, and taylor! Taylor is gearing up for the Christmas season and asks every day if it is Christmas day.  Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks/months.

Pictures with Santa...this is the first year we even tried. Last year, Taylor would cry if she got closer than about 50 feet. big improvements!

Daddy and Taylor putting the angel on the top of the tree. Taylor helped with all of the decorations this year. Notice the tree...it is the biggest and most beautiful we have ever had!

I took some pictures of the girls when we were at my grandmothers' house over the thanksgiving weekend. I love this magnolia tree because I used to play in it all the time as a child.
